Today the newly turned
16 year old got his driver's license and drove into town for the first time on his own. Yikes I am so not ready for this life changing event. I am sure it will take a few days for me to stop "worrying" about him driving. He is going to get sick of it and will probably be rolling his eyes at me in no time. But isn't that what mother's are supposed to do? He is a responsible kid so I know that he will be careful, but still.....
He recently had a tournament up on Calgary, here is a couple of pics of the action. The lighting wasn't that good in the gym so the pictures aren't the greatest but they will have to do.

I went for a walk in the snow today and took my camera with me. I am thinking that I should get ready for winter, it will be here sooner than I want.

Don't need good lighting for those shots! Awesome.
My stomach absolutely churned with the driving announcement. I was a pretty responsible, "good" kid when I started driving too...but I screwed around A LOT on the road. I hope a hundred times that your kiddo is smarter than I was!
I too was nervous when my 16-yr-old took the car out on his own for the first time (the first trip to Lethbridge on his own was worse) but I actually love having an extra driver at home! It's great to have an errand boy and he's usually pretty happy to drop siblings off or pick them up from places and I don't have to spend as much time as the family chauffeur, enjoy!! (It helps when you've got a responsible kid at the wheel, and you do, so relax!) Great pics of the volleyball game!
