Selling Day

The calves sold yesterday. That is one more thing to cross off the list of things to do before winter. Prices were okay, but not as good as earlier in the month of September. Oh well, in this business you win some and you lose some. We still have some hay to put up and hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can get that done before long. We have had a week of unbelievable weather, no wind and temps close to 30 degrees celcius. That is just crazy for this time of year. Maybe this will help make up for the lousy weather we had in June. Kevin is wanting a wind though so the hay dries faster. Can't make everybody happy.

Colton turns 15 today, can't believe it. One year away from driving, high school, dating. Yikes!!
Of course he has ditched us in favor of hanging out with his friends, they put on a surprise birthday party for him which I am sure he will have way more fun at then hanging out with us.

15!!!! Where have the years gone?!?!?! Of course, I have to comment on the time when he was only 6 months old and I was babysitting him. Not ten minutes after you guys left, he had the runniest, greenest poops I had ever seen (not that I had changed that many diapers in my life up to that point). At the time it was a serious YUCK! Not sure how I managed to get through that one. Of course, now that I am so much more experienced in the diaper changing business, I am sure it wasn't really all that bad.
